Email, SMS & OTP Communications Policy

How AfroFusionPlate uses Ozibus for customer communications and verification.

Version 1.1 | Effective 31 August 2026

1. Communication channels

AfroFusionPlate uses Ozibus to facilitate email, SMS and one-time passcode (OTP) or phone-verification communications. Messages may be sent to the email address or mobile number associated with your account, order, booking or enquiry.

2. Transactional and security messages

Transactional or security communications may include order confirmations, receipts, subscription notices, payment-failure notices, delivery-status updates, service changes, account notices, phone-number verification and OTP/security codes. These communications are connected to a service you requested or to account security and are not treated as optional marketing merely because they are sent electronically.

3. Marketing email

Marketing email is optional. We may send newsletters, promotions, offers or service marketing where we have the consent or other lawful basis required. Every commercial electronic message will identify AfroFusionPlate and provide a clear way to unsubscribe where the Spam Act requires it.

You can opt out of marketing emails at any time. Valid electronic unsubscribe requests will be actioned within 5 working days as required by Australian spam law. An unsubscribe facility will not require a fee or unreasonable additional personal information.

4. SMS marketing

Our ordinary SMS use is for delivery status and phone-number verification rather than marketing. If we introduce marketing SMS, we will only send it where permitted and will provide a compliant opt-out method, such as replying STOP or another clear mechanism.

5. Phone verification and OTPs

We may require verification of a mobile number to protect accounts, reduce fraud or confirm contact details. OTPs are intended only for the recipient. Never share a verification code with another person unless the AfroFusionPlate process clearly requires a trusted representative and you understand the security implications.

6. Keeping contact details current

You are responsible for keeping your email and mobile details current. If a number or address changes ownership, update your account or contact us promptly to reduce the risk of messages being sent to the wrong person.

7. Provider responsibility

Using Ozibus or another communications provider does not remove AfroFusionPlate’s responsibility for messages we authorise. We maintain reasonable oversight of communication practices and opt-out handling.
