Food Allergen, Dietary & Nutrition Information Policy

How customers should use ingredient, allergen, halal, dietary and nutrition information.

Version 1.1 | Effective 31 August 2026

1. Accurate food information

AfroFusionPlate aims to provide clear, current and accurate ingredient, allergen, dietary, storage and heating information. Product labels and current meal-specific information should be read before consumption because recipes or suppliers may change.

2. Allergens

Allergens that are present as ingredients are declared in accordance with applicable Australian food-labelling requirements. Customers with allergies should review the label and contact us before ordering if they need further information. Cross-contact may be possible in a shared preparation environment unless a specific product statement expressly says otherwise.

3. Dietary options

Our menu may include vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, dairy-free, nut-free and other dietary options as described on current product information. Dietary labels describe the recipe or product as offered; they do not necessarily mean the preparation environment is free from cross-contact with other ingredients.

4. Halal

Halal status is meal-specific and should be confirmed from current product information before ordering. Customers who require a particular certification, supplier assurance or preparation standard should contact us before ordering so we can provide available information.

5. Nutrition and health claims

Nutrition information and claims such as high protein, protein rich, nutrient dense, dietitian-approved or texture-modified should only be used where supported by the relevant recipe, analysis, professional review or operational controls. Meal-specific labels and current product descriptions should be relied upon rather than assumptions based on the brand or cuisine generally.

6. Storage and heating

Meals are freshly prepared and frozen. Store at approximately -18°C and follow the meal label for best-before/use-by, thawing and heating directions. Heating times vary by meal and appliance. Ensure food is heated appropriately before consumption.

7. Food-safety concerns

Do not consume a meal if packaging is materially damaged, tampered with, the food has not been maintained at a safe temperature, or you otherwise believe it may be unsafe. Contact us promptly so we can investigate and provide an appropriate remedy where applicable.
