Catering Terms & Booking Policy

Public terms for catering enquiries, quotes, menu changes, dietary requirements and cancellations.

Version 1.1 | Effective 31 August 2026

1. Quotes and booking confirmation

A catering enquiry is not a confirmed booking until AfroFusionPlate accepts the booking and any required deposit, payment or confirmation step stated in the quote has been completed. Quotes may include event date, location, guest numbers, menu, staffing, delivery/setup, equipment, dietary requirements and payment schedule.

2. Guest numbers and menu

Final guest numbers, menu selections and service details must be confirmed by the date stated in the quote. Changes requested after that date are subject to availability and may result in additional charges.

3. Dietary and allergen requirements

Tell us about allergies and dietary requirements before confirming the menu. We offer vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free and other dietary options as described on the website, but customers with serious allergies must discuss their requirements with us because cross-contact may be possible. We will not describe a meal as free from an allergen unless our product and preparation controls support that statement.

4. Payments and deposits

The quote or booking confirmation will state any deposit, balance payment date and payment method. Card payments may be processed through Stripe. A booking may be released if a required payment is not received by the stated deadline.

5. Cancellation and rescheduling

Cancellation and rescheduling terms will be stated in the quote where special event commitments apply. If no specific term is stated, we will act reasonably having regard to ingredients purchased, preparation completed, staff booked and third-party costs already incurred, subject to the Australian Consumer Law.

6. Venue and access

The customer must provide accurate venue details and disclose access, parking, loading, kitchen, power, safety or venue restrictions that may affect delivery or service. Additional costs caused by undisclosed venue requirements may be charged where reasonable and agreed or permitted by law.

7. Event changes and force majeure

If an event is affected by severe weather, emergency, venue closure or another event outside reasonable control, we will work with you in good faith on a reasonable rescheduling, credit or refund outcome having regard to unrecoverable costs and applicable consumer law.
